Read the full user manualVersion 1 is free and unlimited. Use Chrome 131 or newer and a conversation you can access on chatgpt.com. You do not need an additional Scriptilux PDF account. See installation steps.
Open a ChatGPT conversation and wait for the answer to finish. Click the floating Save as PDF button, or click the extension’s toolbar icon and choose Save conversation as PDF. Choose your content and appearance, then click Prepare preview. Follow the complete first-export guide.
Open an actual conversation on chatgpt.com, confirm that Scriptilux PDF is enabled and allowed to run on that site, and refresh the tab after installation or an update. You can also open the export from the extension’s toolbar icon. Check that an older duplicate installation is not active.
The extension discovers available history and retains captured messages as the page changes. Let the answer finish generating and keep the same conversation open. Cancel stops the export. Use captured messages proceeds with the content captured so far and marks the result potentially incomplete. Review counts and notices before saving. Learn about history discovery.
Check the Content setting and final message selection. Current answer only includes just the latest discovered assistant answer. Check for notices about unloaded history, blocked scrolling, or early completion. Compare the beginning and end of the preview with the current conversation branch. The extension cannot guarantee access to hidden branches or history the page does not expose.
Yes. Choose Current answer only, Selected messages, or From message onward. You can also keep just user messages or assistant messages. For selected-message exports, review the discovered messages after preparation and confirm the included-message count. See the message selection options.
The extension preview is a continuous paper-width document. Click Print / Save PDF to see Chrome’s final page breaks, page count, and running headers and footers. Choose Save as PDF to save a file, or select a printer.
Try landscape orientation, narrower margins, or a smaller text size. Choose Wrap long lines for code and Reduce type and wrap for wide tables. Prepare a new export after changing options and inspect Chrome’s print preview. Read the math, code, and table guide.
Keep Images enabled and wait for pictures to load. For maps and protected web-image snapshots, start from the browser toolbar icon or an assigned extension shortcut, keep ChatGPT active, and leave Include maps and web-image snapshots enabled. A higher image-quality setting cannot recreate original pixels the page does not expose. Review Missing image details and retry after dismissing overlays or enlarging the window. Read the image and snapshot guide.
Exported maps are static snapshots of the displayed view. Hidden carousel items and offscreen map areas are not captured. Native conversation text is searchable and selectable, but text inside an image remains image content; the extension does not perform OCR.
Turn off Chrome’s own Headers and footers in its print dialog. Keep or disable the extension’s document title, source URL, export date, custom header, and footer according to your preferences. Enable Background graphics if you want shaded code and table styling where Chrome offers that setting. Review recommended print settings.
Start a fresh export from your ChatGPT conversation. Keep the source tab open until the preview finishes receiving and rendering the document. An old preview URL cannot recreate the document after it has been closed.
After loading a saved profile in Settings, click Save defaults. Then open fresh Export options and prepare a new document. An already prepared preview keeps the settings used when it was created. Learn about defaults and saved profiles.
