How to save a ChatGPT conversation as PDF.

Choose your conversation
Open a chat on chatgpt.com and click Save as PDF. Choose which messages to include, a document theme, and your page settings.
Prepare and review
Click Prepare preview. Check the captured-message count and any notices, then open the formatted document preview.
Save or print
Click Print / Save PDF. Choose Save as PDF in Chrome’s print dialog, inspect the pages, and save your file. You can also choose a printer.

Version 1 is free and unlimited. You need Chrome 131 or newer and access to your conversation on chatgpt.com. The extension does not require a separate account.

Can I export long ChatGPT conversations?

Yes. Scriptilux PDF scrolls to discover available messages and retains captured content as the page changes. Hidden branches, inaccessible history, or content the page has not exposed can limit an export. Check the message counts, notices, and preview before saving.

Can I search the text in the saved PDF?

Native conversation text is searchable and selectable. Text within a picture stays part of that image; Scriptilux PDF does not perform optical character recognition (OCR).

Does it include equations, code, and images?

Supported mathematical equations, formatted code, structured tables, and accessible images can be included. Maps and some protected images use static snapshots of visible content when permitted. Missing images and unsupported content are reported. Read the image export guide.

Can I download my ChatGPT chat as PDF or print it?

Both. After reviewing the prepared document, click Print / Save PDF. Choose Save as PDF in Chrome’s print dialog to download a file, or select your printer for a paper copy.
